Product Guru Supplier Focus | Into the world of Vinada
At Product Guru we're proud to support a thriving community of independent, challenger brands. Brands across all FMCG, gift, home and specialty categories list products on our online platform and we love to share the stories behind them.
So, we talked to Jessica who told us all about VINADA.
Tell us a bit about your company, its background and your products?
VINADA was founded in 2018. We produce different Spanish (La Mancha) and French (Languedoc) alcohol-free sparkling wines in 200ml piccolo and 750ml bottles. VINADA is made in the same way as wine, but then this wine is de-alcoholised just before bottling.
VINADA is not your traditional wine. VINADA is a glamorous sparkling wine with a bubble and without alcohol. A low-calorie drink yet full of style and attitude to celebrate life’s achievements and all the fun reasons to raise a glass with bubbles.
For medical reasons I couldn't drink alcohol for some time, and that's when the idea of the company started and VINADA was founded. The goal is to become the premium alcohol-free wine brand and to make alcohol free drinks socially accepted.
In the UK alone, 19% of people above the age of 20 never drink alcohol. This is a group of more than 12 million people. For them we want to provides a superior taste experience.
How many people work for the business and who do you sell to?
Today we work with a team of about 20 and with distributors in 29 countries. VINADA is sold in hotels, bars, (Michelin Star) restaurants, liquor Stores, cruise ships, airports and gourmet stores.
Is there a specific product you are particularly proud of and why?
Our latest product is our high-quality 200ml sparkling, alcohol-free, vegan, low calorie, Chardonnay. And we are very proud of it. We expect it to win a lot of prices. We sell these in our brand new holiday giftbox.
What do you most enjoy about the business?
To receive positive feedback from customers looking for an alternative. I am happy if they feel happy to be included when they're celebrating with friends or family.
And when you're not working, what do you enjoy doing?
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with our daughter, friends and relatives.
