Product Guru Supplier Focus | Into the World of Creative Nature
At Product Guru we're proud to support a thriving community of independent, challenger brands. Brands across all FMCG, gift, home and specialty categories list products on our online platform and we love to share the stories behind them.
So, we talked to Tobias, Head of International Sales who told us all about Chiefs.
Tell us about the company, Tobias.
In 2014, a couple of Swiss fitness enthusiasts decided they had enough of all those high protein drinks that were also high in carbohydrates. As a result, Chiefs was born. The first product boasted a convincing combination of USPs: high protein, lower carb, no added sugar, lactose-free and gluten-free.
Chiefs continues to be based in Switzerland, with a subsidiary in Germany. The immediate success of our initial product enabled us to rapidly grow our product range. Our products do not only boast great nutritional values but are also simply delicious. Today, we offer drinks, bars, puddings, ice creams, pizza and many more products - usually in a variety of flavours. And our product pipeline is so full, we can’t stop expanding!
We are research-driven. We love to figure out our next products under the premise that if we can’t provide great nutritional value combined with best taste, we’re not going to do it.
Who do you sell your products to?
Our products are available through almost all major sales channels in Switzerland, and we have a growing business in Germany and Austria. In the beginning, fitness studios, athletes and their nutritional advisors were our main clients. Soon, hospitals and medical doctors discovered us too. Today, while still serving our core clientele, our largest customers are retail chains, convenience stores, health channel distributors, and web shops. Through our German office we are now also pushing ahead in the UK.
Is there a specific product you are particularly proud of and why?
We love all our products! We invite anyone to test them and find out why we know they are best in class.
When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to travel and do sports; hiking, skiing, football, badminton just to name a few.
